Gli atleti russi e bielorussi possono partecipare ai Giochi estivi asiatici del 2023 sotto bandiera neutrale e senza possibilità di vincere medaglie.

La partecipazione ai Giochi asiatici consentirà inoltre agli atleti russi e bielorussi di qualificarsi per i Giochi olimpici del 2024 a Parigi.
La presidentessa della Federazione russa di ginnastica ritmica e capo allenatrice della squadra nazionale Irina Viner ha reagito all'informazione: "Non si sa ancora nulla. Se gli atleti si esibiranno, come verranno selezionati. E se verranno selezionati, parteciperanno alle Olimpiadi. Non ci credo. Se i risultati contano per le Olimpiadi, allora andremo", ha detto .
I Giochi Asiatici si terranno ad Hangzhou, in Cina, dal 23 settembre all'8 ottobre. Secondo gli addetti ai lavori, alla competizione possono prendere parte fino a 500 atleti russi e bielorussi.
La fonte chiarisce che i risultati degli atleti ai Giochi potrebbero consentire loro di vincere le licenze per i Giochi Olimpici del 2024 a Parigi. Allo stesso tempo, i rappresentanti di Russia e Bielorussia giocheranno sotto stato neutrale.

The Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 23rd to October 8th. According to insiders, the Games, up to 500 Russian and Belarusian athletes can take part in the competition.
