2 spots: KOR (10+11), BEL (5)*, AUT (8)*
1 spot: CAN, AZE, EST, SWE, NED, BUL, GER, GEO, CHN
*one spot was provisionally awarded at Worlds and will have to be confirmed / re-earned at Nebelhorn Trophy
6 ladies’ spots remaining to qualify at 2021 Nebelhorn Trophy supportando la tesi che vuole Rep. Ceca, Regno Unito e Finlandia non qualificate.

CITAZIONE I think we will have to wait until April because we're being told directly from ISU here that all 24(23) men (minus China for not reaching the point min for 2nd spot) are qualified for OWG 2022 don't quote me on this because its not official but thats what everyone is being told |

Dal congresso ISU in cui, ad inizio ciclo, è stata approvata la regola:
CITAZIONE I get the impression from the specific numbers they threw out (21, 22) that they might not have realized the impact of the rule was that for the singles disciplines, a skater who made it to the free skate would always earn at least one spot for their federation.

Sounds like it’s as confusing as trying to understand some of the PCS marks that were given out.
Alla fin fine direi che la mia interpretazione iniziale era giusta. Come riportato, probabilmente non si sono neppure accorti della qualificazione automatica di almeno un posto nelle specialità singole da parte di chi avrebbe passato il corto.
A questo punto possiamo dare per qualificate sia le ultime nazioni del libero femminile, che quelle del maschile. Al Nebelhorn avremo quindi contro anche un'americana.
Non sarà semplice riuscire a qualificare la seconda coppia di danza.

Il problema della danza nasce dal fatto che Moscheni/Fioretti non siano riusciti a passare il corto ai mondiali, il che ha reso necessario confermare il posto aggiuntivo guadagnato da Guignard/Fabbri
I criteri nella danza sono quello che sono, ma il concetto di per sé non è sbagliato. Essendo le olimpiadi a numero chiuso, non hanno voluto regalare posti a chi ha una sola atleta o coppia competitiva e non si è dimostrato in grado di provare di averne un'altra meritevole di partecipare alle olimpiadi.
Per europei e mondiali continuano invece a valere le solite regole, per far crescere anche chi è dietro l'atleta di punta.
