CITAZIONE All the West cheers for her "Alexandra."
A recognized international judge, who raised the best Slovenian riders in rhythmic gymnastics in recent years, Dušica Jeremič and Mojca Rode, took part in the Olympic Games in Athens, London and Riu, and found her professional port 18 years ago in the oldest Italian club Udinese in Videm. There, he sets new milestones in Italian rhythmic gymnastics. Eight years ago, for four years under his roof and in her four-member family, she received an exceptionally Romanian girl Alexandro Agiurgiuculese. Last year, she was bronze at the World Cup - something she did not dare to dream of.
Vrhničanka trained basketball in her youth, never a rhythmic gymnastics, although her mother was the trainer of this discipline. When Shpela was injured, she thought she was doing something, joining her mother's training, and training in the coaching work. As her path shows, incredibly successful! In the meantime, she graduated from the secondary pedagogical school, taught Italian as a nanny in Italy and then graduated from journalism in Ljubljana. She is now the main trainer at the Videm Club, but first she had to get to the bottom. "They invited me to a diving ship to dive with them. They were in the first league, they had good competitors, but I did not know that they were experiencing the breakdown of the generation on my arrival, which is a expected cycle in the life of a club. "
She fell from the highest league to the lowest, but she was pleased with her at the club, and the girls liked her. In the end she remained with four competitors and asked the employer: Can I introduce my system? So she began to choose her own riders and assistants. He does not train by age categories, but has the best gym all generations on the pile. "The youngest thus learn everything from the bigger ones, while the older competitors see another motivation in their youth and flexibility. This system works great! "Says Špela, who currently has 250 girls in the club, in her group of 24 competitors in the first league, who regularly rank on the winning stage.
It's writing history. She entered the history of Italian gymnastics as a conveyor belt: she contributed to the first individual youth medals for Italy at European championships - four (two bronze and two silver), in 2016 the first youth individual victory, then Alexandra in 2017 In the first year in the member competition, four medals were collected in the World Cup matches, while last year the Italians celebrated medals at the World Championship for the first time in 26 years. Alexandra broke the ice, won the bronze and provoked the emotional reaction of her tracksuit. With sports commentators Špela, with her spontaneity and sincere joy, received a lot of sympathy, and her response was attributed to her Italian temperament. "It will be Slovenian! We're jumping, are not we, "laughs and describes the third place at the World Cup as a hit on the lottery. "It was a sincere response from someone who did not dare to dream of such success! I did not think I was going to experience something like that in my life. I knew that Alexandra was good, but I did not dare to think about the medal. "
A special little girl. What would have happened if Shpela would not take the eleven year old girl under her umbrella? As an international judge, she noticed her on a match and compared her competitors, and then there was a call from a certain lad, who worked at a factory near Videm. During their vacation, they wanted to bring their daughter from Romania to Romania, who is practicing rhythmic gymnastics and should not neglect the training during the holidays. Can she do this at Spele, asked Alexandra's mother. Špela nodded and immediately recognized in the girl what that talented contestant she had memorized. Alexandra's mother then asked if her daughter could train with them permanently. Since the parents are working a good hour away from the hall, Špela and her husband took the girl under her roof (free of charge, op. A.) To be able to train her. No, such acts are not normal, but Špela saw that the girl was something special.
