Haydenettes, Miami University headed to Hamilton U.S. gold, silver medalists part of 25-team field at synchro worlds fonte
The U.S. champion Haydenettes and U.S. silver medalist Miami University will represent the United States at the 2015 World Synchronized Skating Championships, taking place April 10-11 at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. Icenetwork will provide live coverage of the event to Season Pass subscribers.
Competition begins Friday, April 10, with the short program and ends Saturday with the free skate. The field consists of 25 teams representing 20 countries.
The Haydenettes (Hayden Recreation Centre FSC/Lexington, Mass.) earned their 16th consecutive berth to the World Synchronized Championships by winning the title -- the 23rd in their history -- at the 2015 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. The team won the world bronze medal every season from 2010-13.
Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) returns to the World Synchronized Championships, having last competed at the event in 2013. This will be the team's 11th appearance at the event.
