ISU Skating Awards 2023 è l'evento che premia i pattinatori che più si sono distinti nel pattinaggio di figura. Nell’edizione di quest’anno che l’Italia conta ben tre esponenti.
- Nella categoria per il “miglior costume” Daniel Grassl con il suo outfit dello short program (creato dalla costumista e commentatrice tecnica di Eurosport Marika Poli). - E anche Guignard-Fabbri con il costume della free dance disegnato da Maria Luigia Zocchi & Denise Pelligro. - Nella categoria “programma più intrattenente” vediamo la coppia Rebecca Ghilardi e Filippo Ambrosini (lo short program pattinato sulla musica dei Queen).

On February 5, 2023, the International Skating Union (ISU) will present a unique ISU Skating Awards event, which will be staged and filmed live during the renowned Art on Ice show taking place at the Hallenstadion Arena in Zurich (SUI). By way of this special format and venue, next year’s ISU Skating Awards Ceremony promises to deliver a spectacular experience: several of the world’s top Figure Skaters will offer exclusive interviews and performances within an entertaining show featuring international music superstars.
Reuniting their expertise and passion to celebrate Figure Skating, the ISU and Art on Ice are more than ever committed to presenting a new ISU Skating Awards event bringing together the thrill of a skating show with all the glamour of an Prize-giving ceremony. By contrast to the 2020 and 2021 editions that were exclusively live-streamed, the 2023 ISU Skating Awards will be for the first time produced in front of a live audience and simultaneously broadcasted on the Skating ISU YouTube channel.
The 2023 edition of the Awards will honor the careers and performances of outstanding Figure Skaters and the work of Coaches and Choreographers for the 2022 calendar year which includes the ISU Championships (European, Four Continents and World Championships 2022), the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games and the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series 2022 (individual events and Final).
Come pensavo l'evento è stata una cretinata pilotata. Tra i vincitori non c'è nessun giapponese, sono per lo più americani. E l'eleggere Chen e P/C come migliori pattinatori, quando quest'anno non gareggiano, è ancor più una cavolata. Sembra una di quelle cose dove se la cantano e se la suonano da soli senza considerare minimamente l'opinione del pubblico.
Esatto, una vergogna. Per colei che sin dalla sua prima apparizione ai mondiali junior urlava insulti dalla balaustra verso la Lipinskaya.
Ho quasi il sospetto che i vicitori vengano scelti in base alle donazioni delle singole federazioni. Il popolo sui social (90% dei commenti) voleva Hanyu vincitore.
A me scandalizza che o sia propaganda russa, o propaganda americana. Sinceramente queste grandi nazioni hanno strarotto le scatole. E quando vogliono dare un contentino, lo danno sempre alla Francia.
Avevamo anche tre italiani dentro le nomination, perché non ci hanno fatto vincere almeno per il miglior costume? Sinceramente quello di Chock e Bates non mi sembra gran che, c'è molto, molto, molto, molto di meglio.
E comunque quoto Ilya e mi ripeto: nessun giapponese / asiatico nonostante le finali di Grand Prix femminile siano state dominate dall'Asia, appunto... e ancor di più che senza Russia, nel femminile siano tutte in Asia, le pattinatrici con i punteggi più alti. Levito non è ancora all'altezza.
Mi dispiace pronunciarmi come segue ma fa ancora più ridere in questo caso perché negli USA il seguito del pattinaggio è pure piuttosto risibile rispetto ad altri luoghi come Russia e Giappone (ma pure Corea a questo punto), davvero un suonarsela e cantarsela fra quattro gatti.
Oltre al fatto che trovo la creazione di questi awards di per sé di una tristezza inaudita.
In realtà potrebbe essere una buona occasione per premiare chi finisce fuori dal podio e per sottolineare altre qualità.
Il costume, ad esempio. Premio alla creatività e ad altri professionisti legati al pattinaggio (concedete all'Italia di intendersene di moda, almeno?). Oppure il miglior atleta emergente, magari quello di una federazione di pattinaggio in via di sviluppo (Corea del Sud). Il programma di più intrattenimento andrebbe ad un idolo delle folle (Jason Brown o Vasiliev).
Ma a costo di essere ripetitiva, non mi piace che i premi vadano a chi questa stagione non sta gareggiando: Chen e Papadakis/Cizeron. Che fatica hanno fatto quest'anno? Zero. C'era molta altra gente da premiare, per il 2023.
E l'eleggere Chen e P/C come migliori pattinatori, quando quest'anno non gareggiano, è ancor più una cavolata. Sembra una di quelle cose dove se la cantano e se la suonano da soli senza considerare minimamente l'opinione del pubblico.
Evento che diventa sempre più ridicolo. Credo che quest'anno per le nomination abbiano fatto un guazzabuglio tra stagione passata e stagione attuale, anche perché che senso ha farlo a stagione non ancora conclusa? Spiace suonare acida ma spero sia stata l'ultima edizione, questa.
Anche perché stanno facendo una figuraccia dietro l'altra. E comunque se volevano premiare per forza qualcuno dagli USA per il miglior costume era molto meglio quello (bellissimo) di Starr Andrews nel lungo di quest'anno.
Oppure hanno fatto come nei concorsi di bellezza, dove ogni sponsor che finanzia l'evento si sceglie un concorrente e lo rende proprio testimonial. Il che però non la rende una gara di bellezza/bravura ma un semplice casting.
Non ho altre spiegazioni (tranne quella della federazione danarosa che "compra" gli awards).
