Thank you to your message, is pretty nice to have an international conversation about figure skating.
As Wolfie said, here in Italy is pretty cool to show a ring on left hand. I did the same thing when I was 16, and some of my friends did it when they were 12 or 14 years old (trinkets). Here, for our generation, a ring is like "I'm his girlfriend, he's my boyfriend", nothing more.
We don't know in particular the relationship between Leo Luca and Nikol (only their photos are public) but, in any case, marriage doesn't mean change-nationality... in this case, journalist Massimiliano Ambesi takes all for garanted and wrote that article (he always likes rumors, but he gives these rumos as NEWS, as he could know the absolute truth).
I suggest to not look at Neveitalia as a good information source, they often make mistakes and give personal opinion as news (and Ambesi in particular flouts skaters... he did it about Tuktamisheva, 1 year ago).
Of course we like some gossip on our forum ICE&RG, but we don't share rumors as "News".
I won't belive Nikol will change her country until her public statement.

I didn't know that! Also I can tell you that a ring on your left ring-finger it is not taken too seriously in Italy (by my words it seems we are not seriuos at all

True, we don't know all the details of Nikol's family history. But any time I have heard her ancestry discussed before, it has been in relation to Georgia. Apparently "Gosviani" is a typical Georgian surname. But, given that I only know 3 other Georgians (Elene Gedevanishvili, Katie Melua and Joseph Stalin), I cannot confirm or deny this!

No problem. Although I do not post here too often (because I don't speak Italian!), I am a regular visitor. In fact, I frequently post stories on Golden Skate that I have found out about from this forum's Facebook page. And that is because I trust this forum.
I don't know much about the management team of this forum (because I don't speak Italian!), but it is obvious even to a foreigner like me that this is a very well run ship. The fact that the you don't announce things on your Facebook page unless you are sure that it is true is the perfect example of that.

Si sta facendo più grande di quello che è perchè il giornalista in questione si è offeso quando abbiamo detto che non cita le fonti.
Personalmente il mio interesse verso la vicenda resta scarso fintanto che Nikol non dichiarerà qualcosa.. -

Quindi alla fine si sposano veramente...
Secondo quello che dice l'articolo di neveitalia, la richiesta dovrebbe avvenire a momenti, quindi tutto starebbe nel rilascio della federazione russa.
Il fatto che Nikol voglia gareggiare per l'Italia mi porta sentimenti diversi, prima di tutto mi fa piacere perché è un'atleta di livello e le volte che l'ho vista mi ha sempre dato una bella impressione di eleganza, però dall'altra parte sono sconfortata del fatto che in Italia si debba ricorrere ad atleti stranieri.
E' anche vero che una presenza del genere in campo nazionale potrebbe spronare le più giovani a superare i propri limiti, portare un po' di competizione insomma (come spero succeda presto in campo maschile).
Tutto questo sperando si sia ripresa dal brutto infortunio.. -

Finalmente un articolo del TASS sulla faccenda. Eppure pare che i russi non ne sappiano nulla, non hanno ricevuto nessuna richiesta! Forse Nikol intende aspettare per chiederla, magari non intende iniziare a gareggiare già da questa stagione? Chissà...
Oppure, intende aspettare le nozze per chiedere il rilascio? In ogni caso non penso che la Russia faccia troppi problemi a concederglielo. Quoto quello che ha detto Wolfie: fa piacere ottenere una pattinatrice del suo calibro ma dispiace anche il fatto di dover ricorrere a pattinatori non italiani per formare una bella squadra nazionale.... -

Dipende da come è messa con la preparazione, magari è guarita sì dall'infortunio, ma non potrebbe non essere pronta a gareggiare ancora...
Poi considerando che stanno organizzando il matrimonio forse nel caso se ne parlerebbe nella seconda metà della stagione. (nazionali?)
O addirittura nella prossima stagione, non è da escluderlo in effetti.... -

Viene da pensare che lo sia, è ovvio. Però comunque i due stavano assieme da tempo, quindi non metto in dubbio che si amino.
Comunque secondo me ci vorrà un po' prima che cominci a gareggiare, considerando che la Russia dice di non aver ancora ricevuto la richiesta.. -

Non solo Forum, Nikol si allenerà anche presso la Young Goose Academy (Egna, Bolzano), dove risulta tesserata.
