E' stata la masterclass più esotica. Ho detto sì perché non ero mai stata in questo paese e, francamente, non sapevo a che livello fosse la ginnastica. Quindi è stato interessante vedere le ragazze, la loro cultura, la scuola ed il ritmo di sviluppo dello sport.
Sono stata nella città di Mérida. La ginnastica è amata e molti sono impegnati in questo sport. Si sono unite bambine provenienti da società e da città diverse. Alcune venivano persino da Turchia ed Egitto solo per vedermi. Alcune hanno iniziato a piangere perché mi hanno toccata. Viaggio tanto anche in Europa: Italia, Spagna, Francia. Sono stata in Kazakhistan due mesi fa.
Dove altro vai?
Tra quattro giorni volerò in Lettonia per una masterclass. Progetto di visitare il Giappone a novembre, in marzo Chicago.
Sei stata a casa dopo l'annessione della Crimea?
Non vado lì da molto tempo. Non è così facile questo perché la Crimea rimarrà sempre il mio luogo di nascita. La Crimea ha cresciuto tanti talenti, come Sasha Usik, Jan Klochkov ed io, che siamo diventati atleti là. Penso ancora che sia la nostra terra. Mi manca molto la Crimea, è vero.
Lo sport è una storia chiusa per te?
Sì e non voglio che me ne si parli con alcun rimpianto. Tipo, hai smesso ma potresti ancora continuare. Sai, la mia coscienza è così pura riguardo allo sport. Mi sembra, assieme al mio team, di aver fatto semplicemente l'impossibile, dal momento che nella mia infanzia non avevo dati colossali su cui potessi determinare "aha, diventerà una stella al cento per cento". Per me non erano previste medaglie olimpiche in modo così preciso. Tutto quello che hai visto a Rio è stato fatto con arduo lavoro e nient'altro. C'è molto poco talento.
Pochi giorni fa nel tuo profilo, è apparsa una foto con la firma "Tokyo - 2020". Abbiamo capito che hai smesso con lo sport professionistico, allora cosa significava?
So che molti fan vorrebbero che mi esibissi a Tokyo. Ed ho capito come la scritta "Forse a Tokyo?" sollevi lo spirito delle persone e sia di ispirazione per loro, ecco perché ero interessata.
È stato dopo questo post di commenti, beh, probabilmente la maggior parte, se non tenete conto delle notizie sulla nascita del bambino. Quasi tutte le persone hanno scritto: "andiamo avanti, ti sosteniamo, ti aiutiamo."
E alla fine: in quale qualità andrai?
Vorrei andare al quartier generale della squadra nazionale. Spero mi diano l'accredito e tiferò per ogni tipo di sport, senza eccezioni. Non solo la ginnastica ritmica poiché sembra che il mio amore per questo sport scorra nelle mie vene, ma tutti gli atleti, specialmente quelli con cui ho parlato a Rio: Oleg Vernyaev, Jean Belenuk, Olya Harlan. Non so nemmeno se riesco ad affrontare le emozioni e guardarli. Cioè, sicuramente parteciperò, ma chiuderò gli occhi.

Recently you were in Mexico on a master class. Share your impressions.
It was the most exotic master class. I agreed, as I have never been to this country and, frankly, did not know at what level there is gymnastics. So it was very interesting to look at the kids, their culture, school and the pace of development of the sport.
I was in the city of Mérida. Art gymnastics is loved and engaged in this sport. Children from different clubs and cities gathered. Someone even came from Turkey and Egypt just to see me. Some began to cry, because they touched me.
And I also travel a lot in Europe: Italy, Spain, France. In Kazakhstan it was two months ago.
Where to go?
Four days later I'm flying to Latvia for a master class. I plan to visit Japan in November, and in March - Chicago.
Did you go home after the annexation of the Crimea?
Has not been there for a long time. I'm not so easy on this score, because Crimea - it will forever remain my home place. Crimea has grown a lot of talent: such as Sasha Usik, Jan Klochkov, and I became an athlete there. I still think that this is our land. I really miss the Crimea - it's true.
Is sport a closed story for you?
Yes, and I do not want to be told about this story with any regret. Like, you're done, and still you could go on. You know, my conscience is so pure about sport. It seems to me that together with my team, I did simply impossible, since in my childhood I did not have any colossal data on which I could determine - aha, it will become a hundred percent star. I have not been predicted by the Olympic medals so accurately. All that you have seen in Rio - it's done hard work and nothing more. There is very little talent.
A few days ago in your profile in the pictures appeared photo with the signature "Tokyo - 2020". We found out that you tied up with professional sports, then what did it mean?
I know that a lot of fans want me to perform in Tokyo. And I understood how the inscription "Maybe in Tokyo?" Will raise people's spirits and add inspiration to them - that's why I was interested. It was after this post of comments was, well, probably most of all, if you do not take into account the news of the birth of a child. Almost all people wrote - let's go ahead, we'll support you, help you.
And in the end: in which quality will you go?
I want to go to the headquarters of the national team. I hope that they will give me accreditation, and I will support all kinds of sports without exception. Not only rhythmic gymnastics, because, it seems to me that this love for sports - it flows through my veins. I support all the guys, especially those with whom I spoke in Rio: Oleg Vernyaev, Jean Belenuk, Olya Harlan. I do not even know if I can cope with emotions and look at them. That is, I definitely will attend, but I'll close my eyes. |
