Arina: niente.
Ci siamo rese conto che avremmo dovuto spostarci. Siamo tornate a casa e detto: "mamma, papà, andiamo a Mosca". All'inizio erano spaventati e anche turbati: come? così?
Arina: a Berlino.
- E come fate ora?
Non so perché.
Arina: siamo felici e ci sosteniamo a vicenda.
Arina: il giorno dopo simo venute all'allenamento.
Arina: e in secondo luogo, abbiamo già attraversato così tante cose, e ora tutto deve smettere, fermarsi ... Qual è il punto?
- Siete riuscite a dirlo a Vera Nikolaevna?
Ti sei mai chiesto cosa vorresti fare in futuro? Arina: Per ora, abbiamo in programma di andare a studiare. E poi - come va.
Arina: e Dina:: a nessuno. Arina: l'orrore generale.
Cosa faresti ora? Arina: pattinaggio di figura.
- Comunque, sport? Dina: sì.
CITAZIONE Dina and Arina Averiny: “ONCE DECIDED TO FINISH A CAREER. AND THE NEXT DAY WENT TO A TRAINING " 3 weeks ago. Posted by Team Russia Arina and Dina Averina. Photo: Andrey Golovanov.
A large interview with world champions in rhythmic gymnastics - about victories, pain, the future and the invisible connection between the sisters. In childhood, quarreled, there were even fights
- As usual, you answer one of the most frequently asked questions: tell me how to distinguish you? Arina: No way. Well, really, I don't know. Someone by a mole, someone by the eyes, someone by the eyebrows. Someone in the shape of a face. Dina: At competitions it’s easier to distinguish us: I have one spikelet, Arina has two. Arina: And whoever communicates for a long time is distinguished by character.
“Are they different?” Arina: Yes! Generally opposed to each other. I am soft, Dina is strict. Dina: Angel and Demon.
- Who offended whom more in childhood? Arina: Dina complained more about me. Dina: As a child, I think we always quarreled. There were even fights. In general, for any reason: who will carry the keys, who is the first and the like. Arina: And now it doesn’t fit in my head - well, how can you quarrel over the keys.
- Do you remember the day you came to rhythmic gymnastics? Arina: Mom brought us because my sister was already training. Honestly, I don’t remember the first day at all. But my mother said that we were rushing around the hall - we climbed onto the Swedish wall, then we climbed down and ran again. And even the coach reacted to this somehow, they say, well, okay, run around - and let them run around. Dina: And then we were asked to sit on the twine. Well, we sat down. And so easy - everyone is tormented, and we sat down one or two. And then they ran.
- When did you realize that sport is serious and for a long time? Dina: At a training camp in Croatia. We were then with the first coach, Larisa Belova. There we realized that we had to move on. We arrived home and said: "Mom, Dad, we are going to Moscow." At first they were frightened and even upset: how so? Arina: Children alone should be sent to Moscow ... Dina: And then they said: “Well, nothing. If it doesn’t work out, we will pick it up and continue to study. ”
Dina and Arina Averiny took part in a joint project of Team Russia and Siberian Wellness company "Strength in your hands"
- How difficult was the first time without parents? Arina: Yes, it was difficult. But, firstly, it helped that we were alone. And secondly, we knew almost all the children who trained with us - we met at competitions, talked a bit. Dina: And just at that moment, we stopped quarreling. We understood that we needed to help each other, because we had no parents, we should already take care of ourselves.
SPACE COMMUNICATION
- What is the longest time you parted? Arina: When Dina was in Japan (at the club world championship), and I in Moscow. It turns out ten days.
“And how did you survive this?” Arina: All the time on the phone. Dina: I wrote to Arish and fell asleep. I just had a training session at that moment. Then I got up at about five in the morning, and Arisha just lay down, according to Moscow time. I went to training, performance, and when I finished, Arisha got up. And again we communicate on the phone.
- In many interviews you say that there is literally a fantastic connection between you. Dina: The first time we felt it when we were little. For example, Arisha, for example, had a pain in her right leg - literally in a day, I had it too, although I didn’t do anything like that. At first they didn’t believe us: “How can the same leg hurt you ...” Yes, and we are also ill - first I, then Arisha or vice versa.
- At what point did you stop watching each other's performances? Arina: In Berlin. In 2016. Dina: There was a World Cup. Arisha performed in the second stream, and I began to withdraw her. She did a hoop and throughout the exercise I stood next to Vera Nikolaevna and shouted directly, sat down, moved. In a word, twitched. And this, of course, prevented Vera Nikolaevna - she was used to just standing calmly with concentration. And here I am rushing back and forth, yelling. And she said: “Dina, that’s all, you won’t take me out anymore. You bother me, it's all transmitted to Arisha. You should be calm. ” After that we stopped.
“And what are you doing now?” If one of you stands, where is the other one at that moment? Arina: At the World Championships in Baku, when Dina was playing, I tried to go further into the hall so as not to hear the music. After all, I know all of her exercise, all the accents, what’s going on. It turns out that I am mentally going through an exercise with her.
- Is it really so transmitted? Dina: Some kind of cosmic connection. For example, at the World Championships, I remember, it seems like I started to make maces well, and in the second part, I understand that it starts to shock me. I do not know why. Perhaps you were worried just because of the finale? Arina: Of course, I was worried, because I didn’t speak very well, and I understood that now the gold medal could leave Russia. Dina: Here. And it was transmitted to me.
- Do you recall the often dramatic episodes of competitions? For example, with a torn ribbon from Arina at the 2018 World Cup? Arina: I don’t even want to remember - the audience just gasped ... I started speaking with my ribbon, but a bow tied up on it. I tried to untie - it did not work. In this case, it is better to change. I changed. I do, I do, I come to risk, I give up - and I understand that something is not right: there is a tape on the floor, no sticks. I turn to Irina Alexandrovna, but she, too, stands and does not understand what happened. The first time this happened to me, I did not even know what to do. She put down the tape and went for the second spare. Then I went one more risk, and I already prayed that this ribbon would not come off, to finish it to the end.
- Is it important for you to know your grades? Arina: I can’t. Dina: And I, on the contrary. Irina Aleksandrovna knows about this and in the all-around at the World Cup she gave me scores and told me who she had.
- How is it that you have no internal competition? Arina: We rejoice and support each other. And motivate, or something. For example, I always try to reach for Dina. Dina: And I'm behind Arisha. That is, we are rising like this, rising. But in childhood - yes, I envied Arisha, was offended, I even cried. Arina: I was offended if I took the first place and could even not talk to me for the first time. Dina: It was at the Spartakiad. Arisha took first place, I am second. And then the parents came to us, to meet us, I saw them and started to cry. They ask what happened, and I reply: “I lost, I took second place. And then my mother explained to me: “Arisha won, you should be happy for her. And for yourself, that you are the second, not the third, not the fifth. And you are crying. Can you imagine how insulting Arish is? She won, but cannot rejoice at her victory, because you are crying. " So my mother taught me that you should always rejoice in the victory of my sister.
- And how do your parents watch the final of the individual all-around? Dina: Parents are more worried about Arisha.
- Why? Dina: Parents explain it this way: here you go out, and it’s straightforward that you go out boldly, confident in yourself, and determined to literally tear everyone, but still worry about Arisha. It even seems to me that I'm more worried about myself than my parents. And in the comments on social networks, sometimes I read the same thing and think: in fact, this happens in my head, but everyone thinks that I'm some kind of robot, but in fact I also worry.
“But in reality, what happens when you step on the carpet?” Arina: Different thoughts, but usually somehow on the machine. I did not notice for myself that I was thinking about something. When I went to the maces in the all-around at the World Championships, this is the last decisive event, Irina Alexandrovna said: "You must get such a mark in order to stay in second place." And then I thought: I need to tune myself not that I need to get a certain grade, but just do everything well, finish this tournament with dignity, speak for the audience, for myself, for the coaches, for my pleasure. And I went out and everything turned out very well.
- The exercise itself flies in a second or lasts, as in slow motion? Arina: Irina Aleksandrovna usually says: “If you entered a stream and you feel that you are running late in music, stay in the stream, and then the music slows down.” And you have time to complete the exercise. That actually was a couple of times.
“But it happens that you feel that you will drop an item now, for example, or make a mistake?” Arina: No, the main thing is not to think that I will drop it. When you start thinking how to catch, how to adjust, how to do something like that, an error immediately occurs. Everything should be done one by one, without pauses.
- The past World Cup ended triumphantly for Russia - our team won eight of nine possible gold awards. Five of them - on the account of Dina, Arina has silver in all-around and in exercise with the ball. When it was all over, did you exhale? Arina: Yes. The preparation was difficult, but five days of performances was also very difficult. Both mentally and physically. Exhaled, rested, with renewed vigor again for work.
IF THERE DOES NOT HURT ANYTHING, MEAN YOU DIED
- They say that you are just iron people, and you didn’t even have to be forced to abide by the regime. Dina: That's true. We don’t like to hang out, we love a quiet calm company. Uncomfortable even when a lot of people gather. If we go with our parents to a restaurant or somewhere else, we always say: can we better stay somewhere aside?
- Gymnastics is only a seemingly light and airy sport, but in fact, it's one of the toughest. There are days, for example, when nothing hurts or bothers you at all? Arina: No. If nothing hurts, then you have already died (laughs). Dina: Either the muscle hurts, or the head, the finger - something yes hurts anyway. All athletes are in pain.
- Remember some cases when you cried during training, because nothing happened? Dina: Yes, it was. At the World Cup for the last time. It was not training, but preparation for the competition. It was the third day of the competition, we performed with clubs. I’m doing a run - and then my right leg hurt. Old injury. But it hurt so much that I couldn’t walk at all. And I cried.
- The most difficult moment in your career? Arina: There was a moment when we wanted to finish together. It was in 2018, somewhere in April, May ...
- Why? Dina: It was hard to endure the pain, nothing worked. I remember that we did not go to competitions then, but were treated. And still injuries - one after another. I can’t live without competitions - this is adrenaline. And then two months without performances, and there are no normal trainings - I just went to the gym, stretched, left.
- Arina why supported you? Were there injuries at that moment? Arina: Yes, I always have some kind of injury. There was also a moment when you want to do everything in full force, but you cannot and it hurts moreover. Dina: In the end, we even called our parents, saying that we are done, we are returning home. They were surprised, but said they were always waiting for us ...
- What happened next? Arina: The next day, they came to training.
“Why did you decide to stay?” Dina: Thought: what are we going to do? This is the first. Arina: And secondly, we have already gone through so many things, and now we are going to quit, stop ... What's the point?
- Did you manage to say to Vera Nikolaevna? Dina: We said: “Vera Nikolaevna, we can no longer. We’ll probably finish, we won’t come to training tomorrow. ” This was not the first time. He usually answers: “You are already adults, decide for yourself. I will not bother you".
WE WILL NOT BE TRAINERS, GO TO THE ECONOMIC
- Can you imagine that you will have different lives? Dina: Not yet. For some reason, it seems to me that I will live in peace, and Arisha will always call me and write there: “Dina, where is it? Dina, what are you going to do today? What will you eat today? ” Well, for some reason, so it seems to me so far.
- This idea, let’s say, of the distant future, after rhythmic gymnastics. Have you ever wondered what you want to do in the future? Arina: For now, we plan to go to study. And then - how it goes. And who will do what
- Learn to be a coach? Arina: Definitely not a coach. We want to go to the Faculty of Economics. Dina: You can’t cut it off right away, but you don’t want to be a coach yet. It seems to me that I will be very strict, angry, and everyone will run away from me. And at the same time, I feel sorry for the children. What they shout, pull, they cry.
- What are the sisters of Averina afraid of? Dina: Arisha is afraid of darkness, heights, enclosed spaces and insects. I'm afraid to fly. I try to go to bed immediately, and that’s it.
- Did you have any fears in sports? Isn't it scary to lose? Dina: It’s not scary, but rather exciting. And losing is hard psychologically. Arina: Well, it’s hard for you to realize - a person who wins almost everything. Dina: Not all. Arina: Dina can just worry about another two days.
- Do you review your performances? Arina: After the competition, we look, analyze. Dina: Sometimes we turn it on on the big screen in Novogorsk, in the hall, and here we are directly reviewing the slow-motion shots with Irina Alexandrovna and working out the mistakes.
- Do you like to look at yourself? Arina and Dina: None. Arina: Generally horror. Dina: I can’t look at myself at all, because I see so many mistakes right away, and I understand Irina Alexandrovna, who tells us mistakes, remarks. It seems that when you do - everything is fine, where is there to fix it? And when you look ...
- In the process of speaking, do you feel that here is minus the tenth point, but somewhere, on the contrary, is it good? Dina: Yes, I think right away. For example, something didn’t work here, I didn’t - yeah, I need to accelerate somewhere in order to have time to do something more expensive in the end, or twist more.
- Incredible! And do you have time to calculate? Arina: Yes, from school. Irina Aleksandrovna always says, for example: “Twist the turn three, four circles, otherwise they will take two-tenths out of there, two-tenths out there, maybe two-tenths out there.
- What do you think, if there were suddenly no rhythmic gymnastics, what would you do now? Arina: Figure skating.
- Anyway, sports? Dina: Yes.
