    CITAZIONE
What I’ll be doing 10 years from now, nothing comes to mind at all… I’ll be 30 years old? In regards to my skating, I can’t really see how it will all turn out. I haven’t thought about it in the last year and half. In my case, I’m just too easygoing about this, I always say there’s still years to go (laughs), I really don’t think about it too much.

But 10 years from now, I hope to be able to skate with the artistry the likes of (Jeremy) Abbott… and to go to Europe! Someway somehow, I want to live in Europe. In the past, I wanted to become a patisserie, but my most recent part-time job at a cram school made me consider getting into education. But also, a previous part-time job at a nursing home had me considering their field as well. That’s why I’m not really sure where I’ll be 10 years from now… we’ll see if I even make it to Europe (laughs).

I probably won’t be married yet. My parents tell me to take my time (laughs). Getting married when you’re not financially secure is silly they say. I think they’re right (laughs).

My studies are important, but my skating days are finite. So for now, I’m going to do what I can.

What will skating be like 10 years from now?

Several years from now, there will be 5 types of quads!

I wonder when that era will come. One skater might not have all 5, but it looks like we’ll see skaters with a few quad varieties. The requirements have gotten stricter… there will probably come a time where it will just be too much. Isn’t there just so much you can jam into a program to the point where it becomes impossible? At that point, some parts should just go back to its core essence. Like emphasizing presentation along the lines of Abbott and having the rules reflect that more. If that happens, perhaps there will be more breathtaking programs like there was in the past.
