I answer only nice and interesting questions. I don't want any preverted waste here, so no one see any of the nasty questions answered. Peace.
E il messaggio in questione:
You not gonna skate at competitions anymore? No, not anymore. -
.
.
Ma come anche lei? Prima la Brunner e adesso la Ovcharova... Vedo la Svizzera a dir poco in crisi dopo l'era Lambiel/Meier. . -

- sacrifici e dura vita dell'atleta (dolori, privazioni, ecc..)

Grazie mille to AllieLex for passing on my message about Anna's reasons for retiring, while I was having registration difficulties (They are all sorted out now).
Very good point about Switzerland supposedly being a "neutral state", Andrea Rika. However, Switzerland has actually joined in with the EU in the sanctions against Russia.
With this in mind, it is understandable that Anna's family have made the decision to move back to Russia.
Being an elite athlete at a young age is very stressful, as Anna has said in her comment. But with her family in a different country, Anna is now without her normal support network. So, I can totally understand why Anna has made the deision to retire and move back home.
After all, the reason Anna and her family were in Switzerland in the first place was because her brother had got a place in a private school there. But, now that he and his parents are back in Moscow, there is no reason for Anna to stay on in Geneva on her own.
Apologies for writing in English. But, I just felt that this needed to be passed on.

Thank you so much for your message CaroLiza_fan. It was really helpful. I didn't know why Anna moved to Switzerland (I thought she did it in order to easily compete internationally) and I didn't know Switzerland joined in with the EU in the sanctions against Russia; perhaps this fact cooled down the relationship between Swiss Federation and Russian Federation. SPOILER (clicca per visualizzare)Something similar happened at the begin of the season when James-Cipres trained in Russia for a few weeks and then they went back to France. I heard rumours saying they were forced to leave Russia because the Russian Federation wasn't happy to have a non-Russian couple training there. Well, it was the other way round that time.

Reut Golinsky did an interview with Anna for Absolute Skating a couple of years ago in which Anna explained the family situation.
The original plan was for Anna to stay in Moscow (and continue to skate for Russia), while her brother and Mum lived Geneva.
But, the family soon realised that this was not the way to have a proper family life. So the whole family re-united and made Geneva their home.
Of course, with so many good junior ladies skaters in Russia, it worked out to Anna's benefit to switch to representing Switzerland.
Unfortunately, it has now come to an end. But, at least Anna get selected to go to Europeans and Senior Worlds last season, plus she finally got to make her Senior GP debut this season. And let's face it, these opportunities would have been unlikely to happen if she had stayed representing Russia.
As for Switzerland joining in the sanctions, the reason is to prevent Russia using Switzerland as a back door to doing business in the EU. There is a story from August about this on the Russia Today website.
Just as a side note. I have been trying to insert links to the sources that I got these pieces of information from. But, when I try to post the comment, I get a message saying that the links are invalid. Do I need to have posted a certain number of comments before I can post links?

Yes, I think you got that message because you're a new user, but after posting a certain number of comments you should be able to insert links. . -

Just thought you may like to know that I have created a Fan Fest for Anna Ovcharova on the Golden Skate forum:
Anna Ovcharova Fan Fest
It is intended to be a "one-stop shop" for getting information about Anna, and includes:- links to her various biography pages
- links to her various social media pages
- a list of what music she used each season
- tables of her Personal Best scores
- a table of ALL her results
- links to competition videos
- links to exhibition videos
- links to other videos
- links to articles
EDIT: I have now posted most of the Original Post of Anna's Fan Fest in the post below. Unfortunately, the tables would not copy over properly, and I don't know how to do tables using the ForumFree software. So, apologies for that.
Hope you like it!
(And apologies for shamelessly promoting one of my projects from another forum!)

As you should all know by now, I am a massive fan of Anna Ovcharova.
I have actually been thinking about creating a Fan Fest for her for about a year or so. But I kept deciding not to, in case it turned out too gushing and fanboy-ish! (A very real danger where she is concerned! )
And then she announced her retirement (see this post onwards), so I thought "there's not really much point now".
But, when Doris and Mrs. P started the Summer Fan Fest update, I liked the model they were using so much that I decided to go ahead with the Fan Fest.
Admittedly, I have made a few small tweaks to the model. Nothing major, though. Just wee things that were designed to help me sort everything out, and which I decided to keep in for the final post.
This is as much information as I can find. If you know of any more, feel free to post it below. It will be very gratefully received!

Summary
Anna Ovcharova was born in Moscow in March 1996.
Anna had a successful Junior career representing Russia, finishing 5th in both the Junior GP Final and Junior Worlds in 2010. But then she had problems with her leg which forced her to sit out the 2010/11 season.
She made her comeback in the 2011/12 season. Shortly afterwards, her brother got a place at a private school in Switzerland. After a period of attempting to split their lives between the 2 countries, the family eventually all moved to Switzerland.
Anna started working with Peter Grueter in Geneva, and started to skate for Switzerland.
After finishing second in the Swiss Championships in her first attempt in the 2012/13 season, she won it the following year. This earned Anna her first appearance at Senior Worlds in 2014, where she quickly became a fan favourite!
In the 2014/15 season, Anna finally made her Senior Grand Prix debut, but did not do as well as her fans hoped. She also lost her title of Swiss Champion to an American-born girl, who was then selected to represent Switzerland at Europeans and Worlds.
Towards the end of the season, Anna revealed that she was retiring from skating and moving back to Russia. (Her family had already moved back a few months earlier).

Thanks for info, CaroLiza =)
We are sorry too for Anna's retirement.
She's such a good skater, and so young!
